SLSF 4-6-0 #1409 - "Frisco", St Louis-San Francisco Rwy
Title:  SLSF 4-6-0 #1409 - "Frisco", St Louis-San Francisco Rwy
Description:  Here is another 1907 Burnham, Williams & Co (Baldwin) built ten wheeler sitting with others in a storage line at Fort Smith, Arkansas. Note the window carefully covered and all parts are still attached. By 1950-51, all in her class had been retired so she still has several more years to go in this photo, especially during WWII.

SLSF 4-6-2 #1007 - St Louis-San Francisco (Frisco)
Title:  SLSF 4-6-2 #1007 - St Louis-San Francisco (Frisco)
Description:  If the date on this photo is correct, this Alco-Brooks 4-6-2 looks like it has just been delivered even though it has served over 45 years. A note on the back of the photo states "on '20-21'" - not sure what this reference is. Jonathan Spurlock (see comment below) has speculated it is in reference to train #20/21 which makes sense. Thanks, Jonathan! Built by Alco-Brooks in February of 1904, it was one of the first Pacifics on the Frisco roster. Specs - serial #28697, class 1000, 69" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 20x26" cylinders, engine weight of 193,550 lb, tractive effort of 25,623 lb. No photographer was listed for the photo.
