Description:  The IC 1017 stands at the switch in its as delivered white safety striping. Too bad that EMD had to give up the standard cabs after this model, these are definately some of the meanest looking SD70's around.

Description:  The former Wisconsin Central transfer, which was a standard job since 1987 and to 2001, now looks like this, 7 years after the merger. This would have had a Maroon and Gold SD45 and a Maroon Ford Explorer if it were during the WC days.

Description:  IC 6122 (no stranger to the area) leads WC 3000 and CN 9449 up the hill from Humboldt, which actually gave the WC a good amount of cars instead of the usual handful. This consist was also a nice Christmas gift.

Description:  The 18 year paintjob has lost a lot of color, but its still looking pretty good. Many moons ago, this unit wore the Dark Green and Orange of the Western Pacific. With this engine down here today, the total amount of WC's on the R916 transfer job this year totals four, which back in 2003-2004 would have been on one train.......

Description:  Two EMD's (including the GTW 4900) head past the old codelines that at one time draped this whole segment, matter of fact all segments, of the Soo Line. Today the WC Transfer passes by one of the remnants on their way back to the Foley wye. From this angle I don't mind these units that much!
