Album Info:The Holiday Express called at Siloam Springs this year, on Dec 10. It was warm for December, almost 70. I took two of the grandkids down for the fun. The day prior it had been in Stilwell, and the next day would be in Anderson MO. Unfortunately, I had other commitments and was not able to chase.

Still a line

Description:  The crowd was big at Siloam-over 2500 people came to see the train-and even though it was opened at 4 PM, at 6:30 there was still quite a crowd waiting, though the line had gotten a lot shorter by then. Fortunately, it was warm-in the 60s when the event started.

Description:  As much as possible, KCS tries not to disrupt the regular trains while the Holiday Express is on display. Here we see a 93 car southbound H train rolling down the siding at 10 MPH, passing the Fs, which are holding the main. This was one of two trains that passed while the Holiday train was in town.
