Held Hostage.
Title:  Held Hostage.
Description:  An interesting CP 182 waits to leave Bensenville. Allow me to explain, the INRD runs a coal train to St. Paul, Minnesota, however, their payload got stuck in Saint Paul because of flooding, so these INRD units were occupying CP rails and running up owed time by INRD, so CP used them until the floods receeded.

Leading we have a widecab SD40-2 with a trailing ex-BNSF D8-40CW and a Metra F40PH being taken to Centralia, Illinois for a re-build. This era of BNSF painted units mixed in on CN was short, but sweet.

Title:  One Week. One Trip. One Locomotive.
Description:  I spent a week in Chicago in March, on April 1st, the best catch of the week showed up randomly. IC 3108. I have been a life long IC fan, its where it all began as for railfanning for me. I must personally thank the conductor on this train, who visited with me and let me get in front of the unit to get shots of it. He was a really nice guy.

Old & New at Tuscola
Title:  Old & New at Tuscola
Description:  I decided to crouch down and get a shot of CSX Q593 coming out of Tuscola through this pile of old rails at the junction. Where I sit is where the Union Pacific used to sit, before the 1993 re-alignment. Now, CSX merges onto a lighter UP curve to cross the IC, then CSX veers back off UP to continue to Decatur. Before 1993, this was the only 3 way crossover of its kind.
