BR1 35006
Title:  BR1 35006
Description:  Almost 300 steam locomotives were sold to Woodham Brothers, scrap merchants of Barry Island, South Wales in the mid 1960's. Dai Woodham suspended scrapping of locomotives due to the falling price of scrap metal and a legend was born. 213 steam locomoives were saved from this location and many of these have been restored to full working order. Others await the necessary cash. After a long wait, almost 50 years since wihdrawal, 35006 (far right) will return to steam in 2015.

Title:  CN 30, QTTX 131344 & "Dominion of Canada" [BR1 60010 (4-6-2)] before restoration, seen
Description:  Precision was required at EXPORAIL on August 31, 2012! Before starting to move to York, England for a 2-year restoration trip, British Railways [BR1 60010 (4-6-2)], known as "Dominion of Canada", built in 1937 by London North Eastern Railway Co. [Doncaster Works], s/n 1854, (ex. LNER 4489 & ex. LNER 10), got on a flat car (QTTX 131344). To do so, CN 30, the only EXPORAIL GE 70ton roadswitcher, pushed BR 60010 and her tender (here only used as a "buffer") on the flat car. Obviously, tracks were fitted accordingly.
