Description:  Missouri–Kansas–Texas Railroad (reporting mark MKT) NW2 8 and SW9 17 at Kansas City, Kansas on August 15, 1965, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. The NW2 is well prepared for road movement in either direction with both permanent class lights and air horns facing both ways (near the headlight on this end), and sun visors.

Description:  OKLAHOMA CITY OK March 23 1975 -- Katy NW2M 8 awaits work at the abandoned roundhouse at Turner Yard. EMD built the unit (s/n 4584) as MKT 1027 in January 1947. EMD upgraded it to 1200 HP before 1960. It was acquired by Commonwealth Railway Inc as CWRY 108 and then by FMC Corp as TGSX 1028. Description:  OKLAHOMA CITY OK April 1977 -- This undated shows MKT NW2 9 awaiting its next switching assignment while sitting at the site of the Katy roundhouse. Two stalls of the roundhouse were still standing and the remains of the coaling tower are at right. The tracks in the background belong to the Rock Island.
