DeGolyer Jr. This car was built by Pullman in service date February 16, 1917 as a 12-1 (12 Section - 1 Drawing Room ) sleeper ( Lot 4450, Plan 2410F ) named LEVANT, air conditioning ( Pullman Mechanical Brine ) added October 9, 1936, rebuilt as Betterment car July 29, 1940 to 8-5 ( 8 Section - 5 Double Bedroom ) Plan 4036J ( and re-named CASTLE RANGE, sold to FW&D December 31, 1948, shadow line paint applied March 21, 1950, re-painted sold gray December 10, 1952, retired in August 1962 and scrapped at an unknown date. |
