Caboose, safety cabin, crummy, shanty, dinghy, rattler or more recently, shoving platform - doesn't make any difference what you call it, they were a common sight. Parked here in the B&O Garrett yard next to another caboose, this B&O sports the message "Safety is no mystery - just common sense" slogan. The B&O cabooses came in a variety of pastels - this one appears in ohter photos as a pale yellow/green. |
