Here is page 16 of a 22-page booklet published by the Pennsylvania Railroad entitled "A Pictorial Review Of Progress On The Pennsylvania." It was issued originally in March of 1953. Right-Hand Photo Caption: "This beautiful ["Angel of the Resurrection"] memorial in the Station concourse honors the 1,307 men and women of the Pennsylvania who laid down their lives in World War II." This bronze sculpture was designed and created by a veteran of WWII, Mr. Walker Hancock (1901–1998). |
