CRIP 4-8-4 #5033 - Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific         
Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific 4-8-4 "Northern" type steam locomotive #5033 was built by Alco-Schenectady in April fo 1930 - part of a 65 loco order. The loco was rebuilt in the late 1930's and notably given 74" drivers for use on high speed passenger service. The loco was eventually retired and sold for scrap in February of 1953. Specs - 69" drivers, impressive 250 psi boiler pressure, 26x32" cylinders, engine weight of 434,000 lb and tractive effort of 66,620 lb.. No date location or photographer was listed for this photo so approximates were used.
