KCS 4009 has retained its gray paint well and is one of the more striking (or at least as much as a gray SD70ACe can be "striking") gray SD70ACe's. The signal design of the signal to the left is unique in Shreveport, as all the other signals in town use a Mopac style "hooded" design. The swing bridge is still operation, last opened to allow the gambling riverboats to pass to the north to dock. The boats are permanently moored and do not sail, so it has been a while since the bridge has been opened. |
