The road paralleling the tracks was Old Highway 61. I guess you could call it "Old Old Highway 61" now that 61 bypassed Shelby about ten years ago. God bless.

You can just make out the water tower and the building to Shelby Die Casting in the background. North of that was Griffin Lamp Company, where Mom worked when we lived in Shelby. We moved to Cleveland in 1974, when I was five.
