I wonder what the new yard is supposed to be used for - the Bessemer intermodal stuff, staging coal trains, staging locals ???

The new yard in Bessemer will mostly be used for staging the coal trains, but I'm sure whatever works out there would use it, M719/M709 may use it as well. At one time the Bessemer Turn went on duty in Bessemer, but was changed due to vehicles being broken into. They may switch back to going on duty in Bessemer once the yard is completed
