Railway station of Kumla, Sweden  Contributor's Pick!
In connection with the railway Hallsberg - Orebro and Western main line, which was put into operation in 1862, the Kumla station house was built. It was built by the architect Adolf W. Edelsvärd. However, as the station building was demolished in the late 1800s. It was then replaced by the current one, which was completed in 1900. The station building in Kumla has a strong inspiration of American architecture. This is because the architect Folke Zettervall was during the 1890s inspired by American and English architecture. Since 1986, the station building is classified as a historic building.
