| C. W. Burns shot this photo of the massive 2-8-4 Lima Berkshire which had already gone through an IC Paducah shops rebuilding and renumbering. The IC called this group "Limas" instead of Berkshires but most engineers on the line called them "Big Mikes". C. W. Burns noted on the back of the photo "This class was used on the I.C. Lines west and I never saw one." He also incorrectly identified the location as Bluford, IA instead of Bluford, IL. |
