Interesting shot Marty. I thought the speeder was long gone from today's railroads. I guess I learn something new every day. Are those white boxes on the front of the units A/C cooling for the crew? If so, that's pretty "cool".

Thanks Harry..I think, with some rare or specific exemtions, yes, the speeder is pretty much gone from today's action. I did venture to say the first 2 vehicles are speeders as they look devoid of maintenece equiptment in this view. Since, yes, they have AC units, I would also say the cabs are adequately suited for all weather kind of operation.

These would be Nordo Spike pullers or Anchor applicators, no speeders. Nordco's been really good adout adding climate controlled cabs to their equipment. Here's their website http://www.nordco.com/Nordco.htm
