| There was a large auto facility at North Bergen, and it was not uncommon to see rack trains on the West Shore. This one is rolling toward Selkirk at Ridgefield Park, having just started its journey. As you can see, Conrail was not shy about mixing types of power. Oddly, I had been in Montreal several weeks earlier, and seen VIA 6793 while there-same number, two railroads, two weeks apart. Go figure. |
