One of NJ Transit's two AquaTrain sets is parked in Hoboken's Engine House this weekend to avoid freezing in the tank cars and the water lines that run between them. The AquaTrain is essentially a gigantic pressure washer mounted on a flat car that shoots highly pressurized water at the head of the rail to remove leaf oils in an effort to reduce wheel slip during the autumn months. |
