PRR 5898, E-8, 1986         
Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken near Temple, Pennsylvania, on 6 July 1986. Shown here (R to L) are former Pennsylvania Railroad engines #5896 and #5706. Both are E-8's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,250 horsepower each. #5898 was constructed in March of 1951, while #5706 was built in October of 1952. In this context, they're pulling a railfan excursion train. Henry C. Westenberger Collection.
