Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken near Frey's Run, Pennsylvania, on 26 February 1966. The photographer is not identified. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4400, an E-44 (C-C) built by General Electric in October of 1960 and rated at 4,400 horsepower; it's the first unit built in this Class. Prominent at the right are blocks of fractured ice from the frozen Susquehanna River. ("Stoneborobranch"; #2 of 10) |
