Ordered by Chespeake & Ohio in 1946 intended for service on "The Chessie" between Washington & Cincinnati, this Budd built car and its two sisters were called Stata-Domes. Each had three private rooms with the dome car. The route was cancelled before C&O took ownership so the car was sold to the B&O and labeled Monnlight Dome with the other two labeled Starlight Dome and Sunlight Dome. They were used on the Capitol Limited. Eventually leased to several railroads and owners before ending up with the Cincinnati Railway Company. |
