East Altoona. Here is a postal card entitled "East Altoona Railroad Yards. Altoona, Pa." No Postmark. Prominent here is the Westbound Classification Yard, notable for all of the empty hopper cars awaiting movement to the coal mines of Western Pennsylvania. Partially visible at the left is the ramp leading up to the East Altoona Coaling Wharf. Spanning the Yards in the distance is the 8th Street Bridge, aka "Red Bridge." View from the 17th Street Bridge in Juniata, facing West. The artist's name is not recorded.
