| This ALCo has an interesting history. After "retirement" from the C&NW, it came into private ownership and was leased to the Chicago, Madison and Northern Railroad where it worked the ex-Milwaukee Road branch lines in southwestern Wisconsin (those which survive are now part of the WSOR) in the early 1980s. Then it went to the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad in Ohio (where it was restored to its old "Route of the Streamliners/400" C&NW scheme in the early 2000s, which then faded considerably during several years of outdoor storage) before coming "home" to IRM in 2014. |
