MILW 760 on the south end of the lineup
This is another locomotive in IRM's collection that at last check was operational, but wasn't running for Diesel Days 2022, to my disappointment. It is the first of what became many H10-44 and H12-44 switcher units built by Fairbanks-Morse at their Beloit plant. The nearby Midwestern railroads were some of the biggest buyers; these were quite common on the Milwaukee Road and C&NW until the late '70s. Sister 781 is preserved outside the depot museum in Brodhead, WI.
