Built by Baldwin in October of 1903 as a compound 2-10-2, ATSF #931 was rebuilt and simplified in February of 1918 at Albuquerque, The loco lasted another 33 years before being sold for scrap to the Purdy Company on May 12, 1953. Rebuilt specs - 57" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 28x32" cylinders, engine wt of 323,300 lb, tractive effort of 74,800 lb. No photographer was listed for the photo. |
