Description:  Here is page seven of a 30-page booklet published by the Pennsylvania Railroad entitled "Modern Locomotives And Cars: 1939." Depicted here are PRR engines #68 and #1961. Both were built in Juniata. Engine #68 is an E-6S (4-4-2) "Atlantic" built during March of 1914 and retired in July of 1949. Engine #1961 is a G-5S (4-6-0) "Ten-Wheeler" built in October of 1923 and retired in March of 1950.

Description:  Prevosto. Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Modena, Pennsylvania, c. 1949. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #68, an E-6S (4-4-2) "Atlantic" built in Juniata during March of 1914 and retired in July of 1949 after 35 years of faithful service. Note that the bell, headlight, smokebox number plate, and the main driving rods have been removed in preparation for scrapping.
