Title:
BO 2-6-6-2 #7504 - Baltimore & Ohio
Description:
Long and powerful are two words that describe this Alco-Schenectady 2-6-6-2 built in July of 1914 originally as Buffalo, Rochester & Pittsburgh $704. . In 1932, it was added officially to the B&O roster as #7504. The loco lasted until April of 1951 when it was sold for scrap. That must have made a huge pile of scrap metal! Original specs - 57" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressuer, 23.5x37" high pressure cylinders, 37x32" low pressure cylinders, engine wt of 429,000 lb and an impressive 80,000 lb tractive force.
