Description:
Here is page five of a 29-page article by Eric Hirsimaki entitled "Interview With Clair I. Clugh: Manager, Altoona Works (Retired)." It was published originally in the Summer 1996 issue of "The Keystone" magazine, page 18. Partial Caption: "Interior of Erecting Shop No. 3, in the Altoona Machine Shop complex, around 1918." Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3403, a K-2SA (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during July of 1912 and retired in November of 1938 after 26 years of service.
